This huge protected area spreads from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada all the way to the glistening waters of the Caribbean Sea. Tayrona is home to many lagoons, palm tree-lined coves and incredible biodiversity. At its very heart, you will find the impressive archaeological site, the Tayrona Pueblito ruins.
To reach this incredible place, you have two transfer options from Santa Marta Airport to Tayrona National Park; taxi or bus. Taking an airport taxi is a quick and easy option, with a journey time of 45 minutes and a cost of €20 (COP 90,000). On the other hand, the public buses will take closer to 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Tayrona but will cost just €2 (COP 10,000).
