Although the cheapest option, you will have to take bus No. 268 to Porta Nuova train station (45 minutes), then transfer to Porta Susa (5 minutes) where you can get the train to Gare TGV Modane (1 hour 22 minutes). From here, you can get the bus to Montgenèvre Gare Routière (55 minutes); your total travel time should be around 3 hours 40 minutes, excluding waiting times.

How much does it cost to go from Turin airport to Montgenèvre?

Unfortunately, no train runs directly from Turin airport to Montgenèvre. To take the train, you must first take the Arriva 268 bus to Piazza Carlo Felice (€1,70), walk around 5 minutes to the Porta Nuova train station, and then take the train from there into Torino porta Susa (€ 5,50). From Torino porta Susa, you will take the train to Gare TGV Modane (€22) and finally transfer to a bus to Montgenèvre Gare Routière (€11,40).

Turin airport’s bus station is easy to find as it is located in front of the main Arrival Halls. You will then transfer from Porta Nuova to Porta Susa to board a train to Gare TGV Modane. After your train ride, you will catch the bus from Modane and alight at Montgenèvre.


Despite being the more affordable journey, taking two buses and a train in the space of 3 hours 40 minutes, excluding wait times, just after a long flight can be exhausting – especially when travelling with children and/or heavy luggage. Moreover, if you travel at night, you will need to take a taxi or find temporary accommodation near the airport to then continue your trip in the morning as some of the associated transfers stop operating early in the evening.
