The cheapest way to travel is to take the metro. However, since there isn’t a direct line between the airport and São Bento Station, this option requires a transfer at Trindade Station. All up, the journey should take 30 minutes, not including time spent waiting or transfering between lines.

To use the metro, you’ll need to ride the Purple Line (Line E) toward Estádio do Dragão for 27 minutes to Trindade Station, where you can transfer to the Orange Line (Line D) toward Santo Ovídio for another two stops.

*If you don’t mind walking a bit further, you can stay on board the Purple Line until you reach Bolhão Station. From there, it is a 700-meter walk.

The metro station is located underground. You will need to take the lift opposite the Arrivals Hall down to level -1 to access the metro station. Signage is plentiful in the Arrivals area.
