Railay Beach, known by the locals as Rai Leh, is one of the most popular destinations in Krabi. From Krabi Airport to Railay Beach the distance is around 30 kilometers by road, plus an additional 30-minute boat ride.
For your transfer from Krabi Airport to Railay Beach, you can choose to take a taxi, a Krabi Airport transfer, or a shuttle bus. Whichever option you choose, you will need to take a boat part of the way, as it isn’t accessible by land.
The best boat terminal to be dropped at is the Ao Nam Mao or Klong Jilad Pier, since boats departing from here will dock at Railay East Beach where there is a floating pier and you can avoid getting wet. A Krabi Airport taxi or private transfer offers a direct ride to these drop-off points in around 40 minutes.
Taking the shuttle bus will take closer to 1 hour to reach the pier, not including wait times, but the cost is significantly less which is ideal for solo or budget travelers.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Krabi at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
