Getting from Almeria Airport to Mojacar

Travelling by bus from Almeria Airport to Mojacar is the only mode of public transport available for this route. It’s a convenient, budget-friendly option, however, you’ll need to use two separate buses to get to Mojacar.

For the first leg of your journey, you’ll need to catch the Surbus Line 30 bus from the airport to the main bus station in central Almeria, Estacion Intermodal de Almeria. The bus runs frequently throughout the day and the ride will take approximately 35 minutes, costing just €1.05. From there, you can hop on an ALSA bus heading directly to Mojacar, taking 1 hour and 10 minutes.

When travelling from Almeria Airport to Mojacar by bus, you’ll pay a total of €9.85 for a one-way trip. Tickets for the ALSA service from Almeria’s bus station to Mojacar will cost you approximately €8.80 and you’ll pay just €1.05 for the bus between the airport and the centre.

For the Surbus service, tickets are only available directly from the bus driver so make sure you have some cash handy. ALSA tickets are available for purchase online, at the bus station in Almeria or on board the bus.

The bus system is a cheap, reliable way to travel to Mojacar. However, the ASLA buses only run limited times a day which means if your plane lands outside of these hours, you’ll be waiting for a long period of time. If you’d rather not deal with multiple changeovers and long waiting times, we recommend taking a taxi or private transfer.
