How to Get from Almeria Airport to Vera Playa

Traveling by bus from Almeria Airport to Vera Playa is the cheapest option and the only public transport option available.

However, the route is not direct and you’ll need to catch three buses in total. For the first part of your journey, you’ll need to get on the Surbus Line 30 bus from the airport to Estación Intermodal de Almería in Almeria city center. From there, you can hop on an ALSA bus to Estación de Autobuses de Vera. Once you’ve arrived in Vera, you can take Barza Lines 1, 2, or 4 to get in the vicinity of Vera Playa.

There are several stops close to Vera Playa, depending on which line you take:

Line 1 – Puerto Rey
Line 2 – Rotunda Vera Natura
Line 4 – Hotel Vera Playa

Traveling from Almeria Airport to Vera Playa by bus will cost you approximately €13.25.

The Surbus service will cost you €1.05, you’ll pay €10.73 for the ALSA bus, and €1.45 for the local bus from Vera to Vera Playa.

For the Surbus and local Vera bus services, tickets are only available directly from the bus driver, so make sure you have some cash handy. ALSA tickets are available for purchase from the bus station in Almeria, online, or on board the bus. Baraza tickets can also be purchased on the bus.

Getting from Almeria Airport to Vera Playa by bus is a cheap, reliable way to travel to Vera Playa. However, taking three different buses to get there can be stressful and complicated if you’re not used to moving around with public transport when traveling. Furthermore, this transfer option takes double the time of a taxi to reach your final destination.
