The second bus will take you from Cusco City to Urubamba in around 2 hours. This bus operates from 05:00 to 18:30 every day.

Where do I get the bus from?

You can get the first bus from Cusco Airport to the city centre on Avenida Velasco Astete, which is on the right-hand side when you exit the airport compound. 

The bus will drop you at Plaza de Armas. Then it’s a 15-minute walk to Avenida Grau where you’ll find the local us to Urubamba.

Convenience

Though travelling by bus is the more economical option, it’s not the most comfortable or convenient way to travel. Buses have no air conditioning, are extremely cramped, and require a 15-minute walk between transfers. Therefore, it can be challenging to navigate with heavy luggage and/or small children. For these reasons, we don’t recommend taking public transport to get from Cusco Airport to Urubamba.

If you’re travelling in a group, we recommend taking a taxi or private transfer instead of navigating the public buses. This is because buses tend to be extremely crowded and poorly ventilated.
