Grenada is a gorgeous Caribbean island with so much to explore. Known as “Spice Island”, you can indulge in the sumptuous Caribbean flavours, spectacular mountainous terrain and world-famous beaches. St. George’s, Grenada’s capital, is home to the buzzing cruise port and colourful local markets.
To get from Grenada Airport to St. George’s, you only have two options: taxi or private transfer. The journey is just 12 km and should only take 25 minutes in light traffic.
There is no public transport from Grenada Airport that covers this journey. There is a public bus service on the island but it does not run to or from the Grenada Airport. The bus depot is close to the cruise port in St. George’s, so you can easily take a bus to other popular sights, like Grand Anse Valley once you’ve already reached the capital’s centre by taxi.
If you’re new to the island, we recommend booking a private transfer to your destination in St. George’s which will provide you with a smooth and comfortable journey, with no wait times and a professional, knowledgeable driver.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Grenada at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
