Koh Lipe is a little slice of paradise found in the Tarutao National Marine Park on the Andaman coast of Thailand. With stretches of golden sand, turquoise waters, and an abundance of sea life to seek out, you’ll never be too far from the ocean. Start your day with a sunrise at Hat Chao Ley or end your day watching the sunset at the popular Pattaya Beach before wandering down Walking Street for a bite to eat and a cocktail or two.
There are two main transport modes to get from Hat Yai Airport to Koh Lipe, although both require a ferry connection in Pak Bara. The quickest and easiest option is to take a taxi or private transfer combined with a ferry journey which takes around 200 minutes in light traffic conditions. A cheaper but longer option is to take a shared minivan and then transfer to the ferry which takes 210 minutes plus multiple wait times.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Hat Yai at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
