Marsa Alam is a resort town on the western coast of the Red Sea, about 280 kilometres south of Hurghada Airport. The town has become quite popular thanks to its sandy shores and the stunning marine life that can be found there, including coral reefs, giant turtles, and endangered dugongs.
Although there are ways to get from Hurghada Airport to Marsa Alam using public transportation, it would require you to first travel by bus to Cairo (almost 500km north of Hurghada), and the whole journey would take about 17-18 hours out of your vacation! Therefore, the main options for this journey are by car, or by taxi or private transfer, which takes a little over 3 hours.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Hurghada at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
