One of the most fascinating things about Secunderabad is that it’s actually a twin city in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. It has a parallel history with the city of Hyderabad and uses the very same airport. However, Secunderabad was largely under British rule, so this city now has some interesting cultural differences. Be sure to visit one of the many stunning temples while in the city and marvel at the architecture of St Mary’s Basilica.
There are two ways to get from Hyderabad airport to Secunderabad; taxi or bus. Taking a Hyderabad airport taxi is quick and easy, as the journey time is just 40 minutes and the cost is a very affordable €10 (INR 800). Taking the Pushpak bus is a cheaper alternative, as tickets are around €2.50 (INR 200), but the journey time is at least 60 minutes.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Hyderabad at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
