Port Victoria is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Seychelles, nestled on the northeastern coast of Mahé Island. The ferry terminal has a rich history, once serving as the seat of the British colonial government. Today, it’s a bustling urban centre, home to a significant portion of the country’s population. Notably, it houses the Ferry Inter-Island Terminal, your gateway to exploring other enchanting destinations in Seychelles.
Whether you’re arriving at Mahe Airport and need a taxi to the ferry terminal or seeking public transport from Mahe Airport to your ferry, Port Victoria has you covered as it’s very well-connected.
A private transfer or taxi from Mahe Airport to the ferry terminal remains the most convenient option. The ferry terminal is located approximately 10 km away from the airport. The journey by taxi costs an average of €35 (SRC 483) and takes around 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Alternatively, you can also use the public bus to get from Mahe Airport to Victoria Station, costing €3 (SCR 40) per person, and then hire a cab for the rest of the way, or walk for about 10 minutes to reach the ferry terminal.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Mahe at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
