The cheapest way to get from Nassau Airport to downtown is to take the number 12 local bus. Unfortunately, the bus doesn’t depart directly from the airport, so you’ll have to walk for about 15 minutes to the first roundabout on John F Kennedy Drive, where the bus picks up passengers.

Buses don’t run regularly or on a set schedule. However, they are more frequent in the mornings and afternoons when locals are coming and going from work. The bus takes around 20 minutes to reach West Bay Street, which is close to most accommodations.

*Shuttle services are also available through private companies and hotels. This service picks up passengers directly from the airport and drops them off en route.

To take the bus from Nassau Airport to downtown, you’ll need to exit the terminal and walk along US Departures Road for 15 minutes until you reach the first roundabout along the highway called John F Kennedy Drive.
