Oklahoma City has come a long way from the days when it was just known for its rearing cattle and cowboy culture. Today it is a city with a modern flair, hip neighbourhoods (see Bricktown district) and the urban paradise of the Myriad Botanical Gardens, offering entertainment, shopping, fine dining and tranquil spaces. Oklahoma City has become an exciting and fun city destination for all to explore and enjoy.
Oklahoma City airport is not well connected to the downtown area, so there are limited travel options available. There is no direct public transport option from OKC Airport to downtown, there is however a bus service (Route 12 and Route 13) run by Embark (the local transportation system) that departs from Oklahoma City Community College and reaches the centre of Oklahoma City, but you will have to first take a taxi to that location. The only direct transport option between Oklahoma city airport and downtown is a taxi or private shuttle service.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Oklahoma City at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
