The first leg of this journey involves taking the Red Line (Max Light Railway) train service from Portland airport, which departs every 15 minutes, to Sunset TC Max station. Here you will change for the second leg of your journey and take the NorthWest Point bus service (Portland to Astoria route – westbound) from The Sunset Transit Centre to Cannon Beach.

Please note there are only two trips per day scheduled for this bus route, the first departing in the morning at 08:40 and the second trip departing at 17:50, so waiting times can be very long. Actual travel time is just under three hours, not taking any waiting time into consideration.

The Max light railway train station is located in the lower level of the airport, next to the south baggage claim area. The NorthWest Point bus service is located at the Sunset Transit Centre which is right next to the Sunset TC Max Railway Station.
