Situated on the Vistula River in central Poland, Toruń is known for its UNESCO-listed old town where you can view the baroque-style medieval clock tower that dates back centuries. Beyond the old town walls, you’ll find the famed Gingerbread Museum which shows off the city’s millennia-old baking skills of this traditional cookie, and the Planetarium of Nicolaus Copernicus University, named after the famous astrologer who was born in Toruń.
There are three transport options when travelling between Poznań Airport and Toruń city centre: by taxi or private transfer, a combined local bus and train journey, or a bus trip which requires a connection through Poznań town. An airport taxi or local taxi ride is by far the most convenient option as there are no direct public transport options departing from the airport. Private transfers provide door-to-door service and allow you to avoid waiting for an available taxi. The local bus and train option is the cheapest option and also the quickest if you take a direct train, although there are often lengthy wait times if you don’t make the connection. Alternatively, the bus option is also affordable, however, services only run twice a day.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Poznan at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
