The ancient city of Pula, which boasts 30 km of coastline, is a Mediterranean gem along Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula. Soak up the buzz of the old town as you wander through the winding streets where there is something for everyone. And don’t miss Pula’s magnificent amphitheatre, built in the 1st century AD, where you can take in an unparalleled performance from a seat where gladiators once battled each other – one of many remaining Roman buildings within the city worth checking out.
There are three main ways to get from Rijeka Airport to Pula; taxi or private transfer, a combined shuttle and local bus ride, or a combined shuttle and train journey. Taking a local taxi or a private transfer is by far the fastest and most comfortable option, taking about 95 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a shared airport shuttle and connect with a local bus which takes around 175 minutes. Lastly, a cheaper but much less convenient option is to take the airport shuttle bus and connect with a combination of local trains to this must-see destination; a trip that is expected to last a minimum of 235 minutes.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Rijeka at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
