Transport Options from Rimini Airport to Cesenatico

Since it’s not possible to travel directly from the airport by train, you’ll first need to catch a bus from Rimini Airport to the city center, getting off at Rimini Central Station. The bus (Line 9) is run by Start Romagna and takes 25 minutes.

From the station, board the Trenitalia train service towards Cesenatico for a further 30 minutes, bringing the total journey time to 55 minutes. While this isn’t the most direct mode of transport, it’s certainly the cheapest.

The combined bus and train journey from the airport through to Cesenatico costs just €5 per traveler. Passengers will need to purchase two separate tickets, one for the bus which costs €1.50, and another for the train which should cost around €3.50 per ticket.

Both tickets can be purchased on the day with a card or cash from ticket vending machines or ticket counters, although it is best to purchase the train ticket online in advance.

While traveling by bus and train isn’t the most direct or quickest route, it certainly is the most affordable. The journey takes twice as long for a fraction of the price, however, if the bus and train schedules don’t match up, you could be waiting hours in between services.
