Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct train between Rimini Airport and Ravenna so while traveling by public transport is possible, it requires at least one transfer. That being said, it is the cheapest way to travel and the trains are fairly modern and comfortable. 

For the first part of your journey, you’ll need to travel by bus for 25 minutes on Line 9 of the Start Romagna network from Rimini Airport to Rimini city center, disembarking at Rimini Central Station.

From the station, board the train run by Trenitalia towards Ravenna which makes 9 stops along the way and takes 1 hour, bringing the total journey time to 1 hour 25 minutes, not including wait and transfer times.

How much does the combined bus and train journey cost from Rimini Airport to Ravenna?

You’ll need to buy two separate tickets for your trip to Ravenna. The first is your bus ticket which costs €1.50 per traveler and can be bought on board the bus or at the airport from a ticket vending machine with card or cash.

Bus Line 9 departs from in front of the airport terminal, to the right as you exit Arrivals. Once you get to the station, check the departures board to find which platform your train towards Ravenna is departing from.
