Suzhou is a picturesque city, located just to the west of Shanghai. Known for its many waterways, traditional gardens and bridges, Suzhou is a very calming and cultural place to visit. Be sure to check out Tiger Hill with its famous 7-story leaning Pagoda and the Lingering Garden with its impressive Crown of Clouds Peak limestone rockery.
When it comes to getting to Suzhou from Shanghai airport, you have three different options; taxi bus or train. Taking a Pudong airport taxi is the quickest and easiest way to travel as it takes just 1 hour and 40 minutes and costs around €65 (CNY 450) during the day and €70 (CNY 500) at night (23:00 to 05:00). Taking the train is the cheapest transfer option as it costs just €6.50 (CNY 42), but there are many changes, so it takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach Suzhou. Your final transport option from Shanghai Pudong airport to Suzhou is the long-distance bus, which is the slowest transfer. The total journey time is 3 hours and 30 minutes and the cost is €12 (CNY 84).
