Dahab is a coastal town on the Red Sea coast. It lies 85 km northeast of Sharm El Sheikh. Gifted with stunning coral reefs and rich sea life, Dahab is one of Sinai’s premium destinations for scuba diving and other water activities. Although it receives its fair share of tourists all year round, it’s nothing like the touristy hustle and bustle of Sharm El Sheikh. It has a more laid-back atmosphere and a sense of local genuineness.
For your transfer from Sharm El Sheikh airport to Dahab, there are two available options; taxi and bus. An airport taxi is the most convenient option, as you will board your vehicle right outside the arrivals hall and get to your destination quickly and in comfort. The ride takes an hour, more or less, and it will cost you €42 (EGP 823) during the day and €52 (EGP 1,018) at night. On the other hand, the bus is a much more affordable option at €4 (EGP 65) for a one-way trip. However, the bus station is in the city centre, so you will have an extra leg to travel. The journey takes an hour and a half, excluding wait times.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Sharm El Sheikh at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
