How to get from Bali Airport to Seminyak by taxi

As a Bali taxi is the only direct transfer option from Bali Airport to Seminyak, it’s easily the most convenient. Save yourself time and hassle by making the 20-minute journey by taxi. The cost for the ride into Seminyak is around €9.10 (IDR 150,000), which is fairly reasonable for the journey length.

The actual cost of your fare from Bali Airport to Seminyak will depend on whether you choose a pre-paid taxi from the airport, or if you take one of the metered Bluebird Bali taxis from outside the airport. Generally speaking, the pre-paid taxis are not very reliable and there may be a long queue for those.

Where do I get the taxi from?

The official taxis can be found just outside of the arrival hall exit doors. You will see the long line of cars and drivers in blue shirts.

How to get from Bali Airport to Seminyak by bus

Unfortunately, there’s no direct bus from Bali Airport to Seminyak. Instead, you will need to take a bus to Kuta and then change to Seminyak. The total journey time takes around 1 hour but could be much longer with possible waiting times.

For the first leg of the journey, you can get either the Trans Sarbagita service or the K02 Teman Bus. Both services will drop you off in central Kuta. Once in Kuta, you will have to transfer to Seminyak using the Kura-Kura bus. You’ll pay around €0.27 (IDR 4400) for the bus to Kuta and an additional €5.45 (IDR 90,000) for the service to Seminyak.

[Please note that the Kura-Kura service to Seminyak has been temporarily suspended as of 2023. Taking a taxi from Kuta is currently the only available option. Check the website for updated information.]

How much is the bus from Bali Airport to Seminyak?

As there’s no direct bus from Bali Airport to Seminyak, you will need to take two buses. The Trans Sarbagita and Teman bus to Kuta cost around €0.27 (IDR 4400) one-way, and the Kura-Kura bus into Seminyak costs, making the total journey cost €5.45 (IDR 90,000).

The Trans Sarbagita bus is available from 04:55 to 22:15. The Kura-Kura bus runs from 09:00, but doesn't have a set schedule.

Where do I get the bus from?

The Trans Sarbagita Bus can be found just outside of the Passenger Terminal at Bali Airport. Simply head through the exit doors and turn left. You will soon see the blue Sarbagita signs above you.

For the Teman Bus, look for the big blue Trans Metro Dewata bus stop located just outside of the Domestic Gate terminal.

Although taking the bus from Bali Airport to Seminyak is cheap, if you’re travelling as a group, a taxi or private transfer will actually work out much cheaper. Plus, it’s not at all convenient. Not only do you need to change buses in Kuta, meaning you will need to carry your heavy luggage around the city, but if you land after 10 pm, no buses run. Once you reach the bus stop in Seminyak, you will also need to find alternate transport to reach your accommodation.
