You can find the bus station located just 100 yards southwest from Santa Maria Novella train station. Simply walk out of the right-hand side exit doors, head down one flight of stairs, cross over Via Alamanni, take your first right and the bus station will be on your right.

Waiting time between busses is 30 minutes, so you may have an additional hour added to your journey. Buses also stop running at 21:07, so you will need to find an alternate transfer option if you land late at night.

No train runs from Florence airport to Siena. Instead, you will have to take a taxi or the Busitalia SITA Nord shuttle bus from the airport to Santa Maria Novella train station in the city centre of Florence and then take a train from there to Siena.

The cost of a taxi from Florence airport to SMN train station is €22 and the cost of the shuttle bus is €6. The transfer times are 15 minutes and 20 minutes respectively, but there is up to a 30-minute wait for the shuttle bus.
