Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct bus from Florence airport to Siena. You will need to take the Busitalia SITA Nord shuttle bus from the airport to Florence Santa Maria Novella train station, walk to the bus stop and then take the Tiemme Rapida bus (line 131R) from there to Siena.

The cost of the shuttle bus is €6 one-way and the journey time is 20 minutes. The cost of the Tiemme bus is €10 one-way and it takes around 1 hour 20 minutes.

You can find the bus station located just 100 yards southwest from Santa Maria Novella train station. Simply walk out of the right-hand side exit doors, head down one flight of stairs, cross over Via Alamanni, take your first right and the bus station will be on your right.

As there’s no direct bus from Florence airport to Siena, this isn’t a very convenient transfer option. Waiting time between busses is 30 minutes, so you may have an additional hour added to your journey. Buses also stop running at 21:07, so you will need to find an alternate transfer option if you land late at night.

No train runs from Florence airport to Siena. Instead, you will have to take a taxi or the Busitalia SITA Nord shuttle bus from the airport to Santa Maria Novella train station in the city centre of Florence and then take a train from there to Siena.

The cost of a taxi from Florence airport to SMN train station is €22 and the cost of the shuttle bus is €6. The transfer times are 15 minutes and 20 minutes respectively, but there is up to a 30-minute wait for the shuttle bus.

Once in Florence, the train takes 1 hour 35 minutes to reach Siena and costs €12.

As no trains are running from Florence airport, taking a train to Siena is one of the least convenient transfer options. If you arrive late at night, you will also have to wait until the next day to complete your journey.
