Ayutthaya – filled with beautiful ruins, temples, and Phra Mongkhon Bophit, one of the largest bronze statues of a sitting Buddha, is Thailand’s second capital city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This magical city is only 80 kilometres north of Bangkok, making it very easy to visit during a day trip.
There are 2 different travel options when getting from Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK) to Ayutthaya; you can either take a taxi, or a combined bus and train trip. Taking a Bangkok airport taxi is the only direct option with the convenience of a door-to-door service. The other, and much cheaper option, is to take a bus from the airport to the centre of Bangkok where you will need to take a connecting train to Ayutthaya.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Bangkok at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
