You can easily find the Suvarnabhumi airport taxis outside of the Arrivals Terminal on Level 1. You will need to head to the kiosks located between exit 3 and 6 and print out a taxi number. This printout indicates where to find your designated taxi.

Unfortunately there are no direct public transportation options to get from Suvarnabhumi Bangkok airport to Ayutthaya; you will firstly need to take the 554 bus that departs every 20 minutes from the airport to Lak Si train station at the centre of Bangkok and from there take a connecting train that departs every 1 hour to Ayutthaya. You should not have any trouble finding a train to Ayutthaya as there are 28 trains that leave the station daily. The combined journey takes 2 hours 15 minutes, waiting time included.

How much is a combined bus and train trip from Bangkok airport to Ayutthaya?

As there are no direct buses from Bangkok (BBK) airport to Ayutthaya, you will firstly need to take the 554 bus from the airport to Lak Si train station and then take a connecting train to Ayutthaya. A one-way ticket on the 554 bus costs €1 (35 Baht) and a one-way train ticket to Ayutthaya costs between €5 (118 Baht) and €10 (375 Baht), depending on the train and class you choose to travel in. The total cost of your journey should be between €6 (225 Baht) and €11 (410 Baht). You can purchase your bus ticket directly from your driver in cash or from the Passenger Terminal’s Public Transport Center at the airport. Similarly, you can purchase your train ticket from one of the counters at Lak Si station.

Public buses can be found at the Transport Center near the airport terminal, which is easily reached with an airport shuttle bus. These shuttles are parked outside the arrivals hall. On the other hand, you will have to check the the time boards at Lak Si station in order to find your train platform since many different trains go to-and-from Ayutthaya.
