Ayutthaya – Thailand’s second capital city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its endless ancient ruins, haunting temples, and the Phra Mongkhon Bophit, the largest bronze statue of a sitting Buddha, make this city one of the most visited in Thailand. Only 80 kilometres north of Bangkok, it is very easy to visit during a day trip.
There are 2 different travel options when getting from Don Mueang Airport to Ayutthaya; you can either take a taxi or a train. Both options are relatively simple and direct, however, if you wish to travel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, with the convenience of a door-to-door service, taking a Bangkok airport taxi is the best option for you. The cheaper, and faster method, is the train that leaves from Don Mueang and takes you directly to Ayutthaya in only 30 minutes.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Bangkok at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
