One of the most popular resort towns on the Italian Riviera, Portofino is a small fishing village southeast of Genoa. Its colourful houses, upscale boutiques, seafood eateries and marina lined with super-yachts attract many visitors each year. The distance from Genoa Airport to Portofino is around 40 km and you have three transportation options to get from the airport to your destination; taxi, private transfer or train.
The quickest and only direct way to get to Portofino is by taxi or private transfer, taking 40 minutes in normal traffic. For a less expensive option, you can get on the train, but you’ll need to hop on a bus from the airport first and take either a taxi or ferry from Santa Margherita to Portofino. The trip takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes in total and will cost you approximately €25.
