Glasgow is the largest and most bustling city in Scotland. Nestled in the lower Clyde valley, Glasgow is famous for its extensive shopping scene, amazing live music, local delicacies and great architecture. If you’re looking for a vacation spot to shop ’till you drop, experience Scottish history or simply enjoy a large city, Glasgow is the place for you.
You have three different transfer options from Prestwick airport to Glasgow city centre; taxi, bus or train. Taking a Prestwick airport taxi is the most convenient option as it takes just 50 minutes to reach Glasgow. Another fast transfer option is to take the ScotRail train into Glasgow Central Station. The train takes just 50 minutes and costs €6.50 (£5.25 GBP) one-way, making it the cheapest transfer option. Your final option is to take the X77 bus from Prestwick to Glasgow, however, there’s no direct bus from the airport, so you will need to walk to the bus station first. The total journey time on the bus is around 70 minutes and the cost is €8 (£6.50 GBP) one-way.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Glasgow at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
