How to get from Mumbai Airport to Kalyan

Kalyan is a major business hub in the state of Maharashtra, India. Situated on the banks of the Ulhas River, you’ll have no trouble finding all of your urban comforts here, while exploring some of the city’s historical monuments. In particular, the Durgadi Fort, captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, whom Mumbai Airport is named after, and the Birla Mandir temple are both worth exploring before taking a stroll around Kala Talao Lake.

There are two main transport options to consider when covering the 44 km Mumbai Airport to Kalyan distance; taxi or private transfer, or a combined bus and train journey. If you choose a Mumbai Airport to Kalyan taxi service, your trip will take just over an hour when travelling in light traffic, but this can increase considerably during peak hours to up to 2 hours and 30 minutes. While a taxi or private transfer is the most convenient and safest transport option, taking a bus from the airport and transferring to a train service will be a quicker and cheaper option if travelling during heavy traffic, with a journey time of 75 minutes, however, it’s more complicated and tiresome.
