Navi Mumbai, known as the New Bombay, is located on the outskirts of Mumbai in India. Visitors can enjoy one of the city’s many natural attractions such as Rock Garden and Wonders Park, which stages the wonders of the world over 30 acres, or they can experience the plunging waters of Pandavkada Falls that become a force to be reckoned with during monsoon season.
There are two main transport options to reach Navi Mumbai when travelling from Mumbai Airport: taxi or a bus ride from the airport where you’ll need to connect with the Indian Railway network to catch a train to Nerul, Navi Mumbai’s closest train station. The fastest and easiest transport option is a taxi or private transfer which will take you directly to Navi Mumbai in around 35 minutes, in light traffic, but this can increase to up to 90 minutes during peak hours. On the other hand, since there is no direct public transport service from Mumbai Airport to Navi Mumbai, you will need to make a connection at either Kurla Station or GTB Nagar Railway Station, before travelling onwards to Nerul Station which can take up to 75 minutes in total, excluding wait times.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Mumbai at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
