The colourful town of Menton, also known as the “Pearl of France”, is one of France’s best-kept secrets. Known for its beaches, stunning gardens and lemon trees dotted all over town, Menton is well worth a visit if you have the time.
You have four transportation options for your transfer from Nice Airport to Menton; taxi, private transfer, bus or train. Taking a local airport taxi is the fastest and most comfortable choice, taking just 35 minutes for a door-to-door ride. Unlike destinations such as Cannes and Monaco, taxis don’t offer fixed-rate fees for rides to Menton. If you’re happy using public transportation, the Express 80 is a direct service and costs €19, taking approximately an hour to get you to your destination.
Alternatively, you can take one of the TER trains. Unfortunately, the train service isn’t direct, so you’ll have to take two modes of transport for this option. It has the longest trip duration, taking an hour and a half, but it is a solid option for those on a budget as tickets cost just €7.10.
Finally, if you’d prefer a fixed-rate fee and a fully personalised service, you can book a private transfer in advance with Welcome Pickups. Our trained, English-speaking drivers will meet you at the gate and share local tips during your ride – getting you to your destination in the most seamless way possible.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Nice at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
