The city of Plovdiv is Bulgaria’s second-largest city, dating back more than 6,000 years. Located on the Maritsa River, the town’s surrounding mountains, Old Town walls and colourful houses – that are as distinctly beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside – make this one of the most charming places to visit in Europe. You’ll also find some of the best examples of Roman architecture with the famous Ancient Roman Theatre of Philippopolis where you can take in some of the best views of the city.

When arriving at Plovdiv Airport – also known as Krumovo Airport – the main modes of transport to reach the city centre are taxi, private transfer, or the bus.
