Transfer Options from Singapore Changi Airport to Marina Bay

Just like the MRT metro, there is no direct bus route from the airport to Marina Bay, and there will be an additional short walk from the bus stop. However, this airport transfer option to Marina bay is is quite pleasant if you are not travelling with much luggage. If you decide to take this travel option, you will firstly need to take the 36/36A bus from the airport, changing bus at either Raffles Ave bus stop or Temasek Blvd, depending on which side of the Bay you would like to go to. This bus journey takes around 50 minutes, as the bus marks many stops along the way. From there you will have to walk an additional 10 minutes to your final destination in the Bay area.

Note: A shuttle bus service operates from the airport, however it is more expensive, costing €5.60 (S$9pp), and is best for solo travellers with light luggage. It stops at major hotels within the Bay area and runs 24/7, leaving the airport every 15 minutes during hours and every 30 minutes in normal hours. It takes approximately 25 minutes to reach the centre and tickets can be purchased from the Ground Transport desk at the arrivals hall.

It is recommended buying your bus ticket using an EZ- Link card, in this case, the bus fare will be €1.13 (S$1.84), if you purchase a regular bus ticket it will cost you €1.50 (S$2.50).
You can also purchase a regular ticket directly from the bus driver, however, make sure to have the correct amount on you as the driver does not give change.

Although taking the bus is a cheaper transfer option, it is definitely not the most convenient. Having to find your way around the different bus routes, whilst carrying your luggage can be very tiresome, especially after a long flight. Moreover, the multiple bus stops along the way, makes this the longest transfer option.
