There’s a reason the trendy coastal town of Byron Bay on Australia’s northeast coast is on everyone’s bucket list, with its laid-back vibe, gorgeous beaches, and delicious eateries, it’s hard not to get drawn in and stay longer than you planned. Visit Australia’s most easterly point, the iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse, where if you’re lucky, you can spot whales during the annual migration season. For stunning views of the coastline and surrounding hinterlands, don some boots and hike the Cape Byron Walking Track and if you time your visit right, why not snap up something unique at the monthly Byron Bay markets?
The best way to get from Brisbane Airport to Byron Bay is to take a taxi or pre-book a private airport taxi transfer since they only take 110 minutes during light traffic. These options are fairly expensive, however, especially if you’re travelling solo in which case taking a shared shuttle may be a more suitable option. While services don’t run as often and take much longer, shuttle prices are better for a tight budget.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Brisbane at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
