Located in southeast Queensland, Australia, the Sunshine Coast sits front and centre to some of the most iconic and beautiful sites in the country. The nearby Noosa and Glasshouse Mountains National Parks both provide stunning vistas amongst towering rainforests filled with unique plants and wildlife. Closer to town, you’ll find the famous Big Pineapple and the late Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo where you can get up close with some of Australia’s native wildlife.
When planning your trip to the Sunshine Coast, there are three main modes of transport. A taxi or private airport transfer from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast is the most convenient option since they provide door-to-door service in around 1 hour and 15 minutes, during light traffic. The cheapest option is to take a shared shuttle bus which also provides a door-to-door service, however, it only runs on the hour and drops other passengers off along the way which means the travel time will be at least 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Brisbane at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
