The first is the SkyBus Peninsula Express from the airport to Frankston Station/Young St. This bus leaves the airport every hour, 7 days a week from 06:45 to 21:45. The journey will take around 2 hours. Once you get to Frankston Station/Young St, you’ll need to catch the 785 or 781 bus to Mornington; these buses run every hour from 05:00 to 22:00. This journey will take about 20 minutes.

Including transfer times, you can expect the entire trip to take 2 hours and 45 minutes, not accounting for potential wait times which can be up to 1 hour.

How much is the bus from Melbourne Airport to Mornington Peninsula?

The SkyBus Peninsula Express costs €25 (AUD 42) per adult. Up to four children can travel with you for free. Any additional kids can travel for €3 (AUD 5). You can purchase a ticket from the SkyBus website.

The second bus from Frankston will cost around €6 (AUD 10) with a Myki card. A Myki card is a travel card used for transport in Melbourne. It costs €3.60 (AUD 6) for the card itself then you can top it up online or in a shop.

You can find the Peninsula Express from Melbourne Airport outside of Terminals 1 and 4. The 785 or 781 bus from Frankston stops directly outside of Frankston station.
