Los Angeles Airport to Disneyland

Transportation options from Los Angeles LAX Airport to Disneyland

So you’re planning a trip to the most magical place on earth? Before you land at LAX, you’ll want to know which transportation options are available to help you get from LAX to Disneyland as quickly and smoothly as possible.

There are four main modes of transport to choose from, including a local Los Angeles Airport taxi, a shared shuttle bus, a combination of public transport, or a private Los Angeles Airport transfer service.

A taxi or a private transfer are your two fastest and most convenient options, both offering a direct service in as little as 35 minutes, dropping you right at the park entrance.

Your next option is to take the shared shuttle bus. While this can also be very convenient, especially since it makes several stops at different hotels, there can be lengthier wait times, and it’s a little pricey for smaller groups and solo travelers.

Lastly, you can opt for public transport. This is the most economical way to travel, but it’s also the slowest and most complicated, so only consider this if you’re comfortable switching from a shuttle bus to the metro, and then onto a local bus.

How to get to Disneyland from LAX by taxi?

One of the fastest and most convenient forms of transportation from LAX to Disneyland is a local taxi. LAX Airport taxis are air-conditioned, available at any time of day, and can comfortably seat up to four passengers, making them an ideal choice.

Bear in mind that there isn’t a flat rate for this journey; therefore, the 35-minute trip will be calculated using a taximeter.

How much is a taxi from LAX to Disneyland?

Unlike rides between LAX Airport and Downtown, a flat rate fee isn’t offered to Disneyland. Instead, your taxi from LAX to Disneyland will be calculated using a taximeter, based on the time and distance traveled. On average, you can expect to pay around $95 (€82), not including tips, tolls, or the airport surcharge of $4 (€3.40).

Alternatively, you can pre-book a private LAX to Disneyland car service and receive a competitive fixed fare price inclusive of all charges, so that there are no surprises on the day.

Where can I catch a taxi from?

Los Angeles taxis authorized to operate from the airport must display the official City of Los Angeles Taxicab Seal and a “TAXI” rooftop sign. Around 10 different companies are available from the three taxi stands stationed around the airport’s nine different terminals.

LAX-it near Terminal 1: Passengers may walk to or ride the free shuttle to LAX-it to the taxi stand. When you exit the terminal, you can either walk, following the signs to the LAX-it lot, or ride the free LAX-it shuttle, which can be found on the Lower/Arrivals level next to the green LAX-it signs.

Terminal B and 3: The taxi stand is located inside Parking Structure 3 and is reachable on foot from either terminal.

Terminal 7: The taxi stand is located at the far end of Terminal 7, outside the baggage claim area. This rank can be used by passengers arriving at either Terminal 7 or 8.

Getting from LAX to Disneyland by shuttle

However, it’s important to note that bookings are generally only taken for 5 people or more, so this wouldn’t suit solo travelers or small groups. Moreover, although this option is direct to the park, it can be slow, as you will have to wait for the shuttle to pick up passengers at multiple airport stops and then take them to their hotels before heading to Disneyland. A trip between the two locations takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour and 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

After around 37 minutes, you’ll disembark at Fullerton Station, from where you’ll need to walk across the road to Bus Stop 1833 and wait for the No.43 bus service. Make sure you board the right bus, headed towards Costa Mesa – Park and 19th, which will drop you right outside Disneyland after around 30 minutes.

Overall, the journey should take roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes, not including wait and transfer times.
