Line C-1 runs into Terminal 4 only, so if you are arriving into Terminal 1 or 2 you will need to take the internal shuttle bus to Terminal 4, and if you are arriving into Terminal 3 you will need to walk to Terminal 4. The train station can be found on the -1 floor.
If you are arriving into Terminal 4, taking the train may be a good, budget option for you. However, if you are arriving into any of the other terminals, you will have an extra wait for the internal shuttle bus to add to your journey. You will also need to make a transfer in the city centre which is time consuming and far from ideal.
Traveling on the local train isn't comfortable, quick or particularly safe. However, it is one of the cheaper transfer options, so if you're on a budget it could help.
Each train ticket is only valid for 2 hours after the ticket is issued.
The last train departs from Madrid airport at 23:33.
Keep an eye on your belongings at all times when on the train and making your transfer.
