In fact, it was only recently that the bus line 100E started operating the route from the airport to the Deák Ferenc tér central metro station. Bus 100E departs from the airport every 30 minutes and the trip takes approximately 35 minutes.

*There is also the bus line 200E which travels from the airport to Kobanya-Kispest metro station. However, in order to get to the city centre from there you will have to take the M3 metro line towards Újpest–Központ.

Bus 100E runs from 05:00 a.m to 00:30 a.m. The night bus 900 runs from the airport to Kobanya-Kispest from 00:30 a.m to 04:00 a.m.

Where do I get it from?

Bus 100E departs from the BKK stop which located between the two terminals on the arrivals level.

Bus 200E stop is located just outside of terminal 2.

Convenience

Taking the bus is a popular option among tourists who are travelling from the airport to central Budapest. However, as it was mentioned above, the bus journey is not always a direct one and that can be very challenging and inconvenient.

Editor’s Note

If you land at the airport after 00:30 a.m you can take the bus 900 and switch to bus 950 or 950A at Kobanya-Kispest station in order to reach the city centre of Budapest.
