The location of Kansai airport in the bay of Osaka to the city of Osaka is a distance of 50 km with the travel time averaging about 45 minutes by taxi. Osaka city is located northeast of Kansai airport and they are well connected by an easy-to-use expressway when travelling between these destinations. As you leave the airport you will firstly drive over the access bridge for 5 km taking you onto the mainland and you’ll access the expressway (motorway). You will then take the left lane and follow signs for Hanshin Expressway No.4 towards Osaka/Kobe. Once you are on Expressway No. 4 you will then drive north for 32 km and then take Route 16, following signs for Osaka/Tempozan. At the Nishisemba interchange, follow signs for Loop 1 toward Hanshin Expressway No.11 Ikeda Route/Hanshin Expressway No.12 Moriguchi Route and then merge onto Route 1. You’ll take exit Tosabori and continue north and then take a right onto Yotsubashi-suji and then a right before Watanabe Bridge south, taking you into central Osaka.
