Kalamata International Airport (KLX), also named “Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos”, after the great pioneer in the expansion of the airport, is the main airport of Kalamata which hosts mostly charter flights, especially during the summer months. The distance from Kalamata city centre is 10.8 km which will take around 10 minutes by taxi, depending on the traffic. In order to reach Kalamata downtown area, your driver will take the exit to the E0 Pilos-Kalamata highway at the roundabout outside the airport. After 5 km, he will turn right to the E0 Tripoleos-Kalamata highway and after a few meters, left to Kalamata city centre. At the next roundabout, you will head straight to Athinon str. and make a left turn to Iras str. Finally, you will pass another roundabout, reach Stadiou str. and after this point, your driver will use the local roads in order to find your hotel. Note that there is a slightly shorter route but it involves tolls.
