The airport is the 4th busiest in Poland, working as a gateway for the Silesian Voivodeship and surrounding areas. If you choose to take a taxi from the airport to Katowice city centre, you can expect a journey time of around 35 minutes.
To start your Katowice Airport transfer, your driver will head north along the DW913 until they reach a roundabout, where they will take the 3rd exit onto Młyńska/DW913. At the second roundabout, your driver will continue to follow the DW913 by taking the 1st exit. After around 7 km, your driver will then take a right onto the DK86. Your driver will follow the DK86 for a further 8.3 km before continuing on to al. Roździeńskiego/al. Walentego Roździeńskiego. From here, you will take the Droga Krajowa 79 exit towards Katowice city centre to continue on the DK79. After a further 4 km, you will take the A4 exit toward the city centre and make a right-hand turn onto Johna Baildona. After another right-hand turn, you will find the road that leads into the heart of Katowice.
