Directions for your taxi transfer from Addis Ababa Airport
Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) is only a short distance from the city centre, about 8.8 km southeast of the capital to be precise. A taxi or private transfer is the speediest option to reach the city, taking approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
To begin your transfer from Addis Ababa Airport, your driver will take the second exit at the roundabout at Bole Airport Square, turning left on Airport/Bole Road, and continuing until the roundabout at Bole Dildiy Bridge, where they will take the second exit and continue straight on Airport Road for 4.5 km. Passing the Estifanos/Meskel Square, Airport/Bole Road turns slightly right, merging with Menelik II Ave for 1.2 km. You will then turn left and continue onto Niger St for 750 m, turning left again onto Colson St. After 650 m, you will turn left on General Wingate St, and after 400 m, you will make a right on Dej. Jote St. After 600 m, you will encounter a roundabout where your driver will take the third exit towards A4, bringing you to the Addis Ababa city centre. Directions will vary from here, based on your exact drop-off point.
