Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED), more simply known as Medina Airport is a regional airport that opened in 1950 in Madinah. The airport mostly handles domestic flights to locations such as Cairo, Istanbul and Dubai, but also some international flights. The airport is located 22 km from the city centre, so your Madinah Airport transfer shouldn’t take longer than 25 minutes.
After exiting the airport compound, you will head south until you reach a roundabout. Here, your driver will take the 2nd exit onto King Salman Rd. You will follow this road until you reach the second roundabout, where you will take the 1st exit onto King Abdulaziz Rd. At the next roundabout, your driver will take the 2nd exit and stay on King Abdul Aziz Rd. You will follow King Abdul Aziz Rd for a further 9 km, before turning left onto First Ring Rd – King Faisal.
