This airport is the regional hub for the Caribbean, the Americas and some places in Europe, making it extremely important. The distance from PTY airport to the city is 21 km, so taking a Panama airport taxi shouldn’t take longer than 25 minutes to get downtown.
Once you’ve exited the airport compound, you will reach a roundabout, where your driver will take the 2nd exit. You will then reach another roundabout, where your driver will take the 1st exit and merge onto Corredor Sur. After around 16.8 km, your driver will then take the exit towards Calle 54, and will follow this road for another 200 m. Next, your driver will turn left onto Anastacio Ruíz Noriega, right onto Avenue José de la Cruz Herrera and finally, right onto Av Nicanor de Obarrio. This will bring you to the very centre of Panama City.
