Charleston International Airport (CHS) is a joint civil-military airport located in North Charleston. It’s South Carolina’s busiest airport, serving over 4.9 million passengers each year. The airport is located 18.3 km from downtown, so taking a Charleston airport taxi shouldn’t take longer than 20 minutes.
After exiting the airport compound, your driver will head northeast on International Blvd toward Dreamliner Dr. Once you reach Dreamliner Dr, you will make a U-turn and merge onto I-526 E toward Mt Pleasant. After around 1 km, you will then take exit 17 and merge onto I-26 E toward Charleston. Next, you will take exit 221B, which will be on your left, towards Downtown. Finally, your driver will turn right onto Meeting St, which will lead you into the heart of Charleston.
