Indianapolis airport is a short 20 minute cab ride to downtown Indianapolis. The downtown area of Indianapolis is located northeast of the airport and is a mere 21 km (13.5 miles) away. Once your Welcome shuttle service has left the airport it will take Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive and head northeast till you reach Interstate 70 (I-70). You will then take I-70 East / Indianapolis for 16 km to Illinois St in Center Township. Your driver will then take Exit 79B which will take you to the heart of downtown Indianapolis.

The cost of a taxi fare from Indianapolis airport to downtown Indianapolis will be about $40 (€37) but does not include tipping which is standard practise (10-15% of total cab fare depending on services provided). Please note that there is a minimum charge of $15 (€14) for all fares from the airport, even very short transfers.
