Getting to Taipei City with your Taipei Airport Transfer

Songshan Airport is located only 5 km away from Taipei City centre so with your Welcome ride you should reach your destination in about 15 minutes. The route is pretty straightforward and easy to follow on your phone if you wish. Taipei Airport Transfer Fares

Songshan Airport is within city limits so the price is calculated using a taximeter, just like for regular in-city transfers with a Taipei taxi. A Taipei airport shuttle with a standard vehicle for up to 4 passengers will cost around €16 (TWD 500). There is no extra charge for any standard-sized luggage but there is a nighttime surcharge of €0.65 (TWD 20) for rides from 23:00 until 06:00. Note that there are also additional charges on major national holidays.

Is the Taipei airport taxi rank easy to locate?

Songshan airport has two Terminals adjacent to each other, one for domestic and one for international arrivals. The taxi rank is located right outside the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1 or alternatively, you can hail a taxi on the road south of the gas station, which is on the right as you exit the Terminal. Remember that in Taiwan authorized and official taxis are only the yellow ones.

Where will my Welcome driver meet me?

Your Welcome driver will be waiting for you in the Arrivals Hall of either Terminal 1 or 2, depending on where your flight arrives from. They will be holding a sign with your name on it and you will have received an email with their photo so it will be very easy to spot them. In any case, you’ll also have their contact info so you can message them through Welcome’s traveller app.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

You still get your transfer! When you’re making your booking, we’ll ask for your flight number so that your Welcome driver can monitor the arrival time and re-schedule the pickup time accordingly. Even if they’re not available at the new arrival time due to schedule conflict, you’ll be notified via email and you’ll be assigned a different driver who will be there to pick you up no matter what.
