How much are taxis in Phoenix?

All Phoenix taxi drivers must adhere to an official tariff ordinance which was set in January 2012. This ordinance states the legal fares and cost per km that taxi drivers are allowed to charge. To ensure all drivers stick to these rates, they must use an officially calibrated taximeter to calculate their fares for all journeys. The tariffs work as follows:

Base fare: $2.90 (€2.65)

Additional price per km: $1.31 (€1.20)

There may also be extra charges for things such as keeping your driver waiting for an hour or sitting in traffic for an hour ($28 (€25.50)) whilst there is also a surcharge base fare for airport pickups ($5 (€4.50)).

What our customers say about Welcome
